Privacy Policy
This policy explains what information Time4Driving collects, how it is used, and the choices you have. It covers both the Time4Driving mobile application and this website.

Overview
Time4Driving is a driving-practice tracking and educational application that helps learner drivers and their supervising adults record practice drives and track progress toward licensing goals. The production application includes user accounts and authenticated cloud services, which means some information you provide or generate is transmitted to and stored on cloud infrastructure so features like backup, synchronization, and restoration can work.
This website is currently used primarily to share information about Time4Driving and to let you join our launch waitlist. The sections below describe the app's data practices as well as the limited information handled through this site.
Information you provide
Depending on which features you use, information you provide may include the following.
Account information
When you create an account, we process information such as your email address and account or authentication identifiers used to sign you in and secure your account. We do not store your password in plain text.
Driver / learner profile information
The app lets you create one or more learner-driver profiles. Information associated with a profile is processed to provide the app's functionality, such as tracking that driver's practice progress. Because a learner profile may belong to a teenager, please see the “Children and teen drivers” section below.
Driving information
When you record or enter a drive, we may process driving-related information such as the drive date, start and end times, duration, mileage or distance, day/night classification, road or highway classification where applicable, driving notes, and related driving-session information used to calculate your progress.
Location information
If you choose to use GPS drive tracking and grant the required device permissions, Time4Driving processes precise location information needed to record the drive. This may include GPS coordinates, route information, and location timestamps. Location access depends on the permissions you grant on your device, and tracked routes may be backed up or synchronized through the cloud as described below. We do not sell your precise location information.
Documents and photos
Where the app supports it, you may choose to add driving-related documents or photos. Files you select are processed and stored to provide that feature. We only access your photo library or files when you choose to add them for a feature that requires them.
Education information
If you use the educational features, we may store information related to your use of them, such as module progress, quiz results, and overall education progress. This information reflects your in-app learning activity and is not an official school or academic record.
Support information
When you use “Report a Problem” or otherwise contact us, we process the information you voluntarily provide so we can respond. This may include your description of the issue along with basic technical context such as the app version, platform or operating- system information, and the date and time.
Automatically generated and technical information
To operate accounts and cloud synchronization, we may process technical information such as the application version, platform, operating-system information, synchronization status, timestamps, and technical identifiers necessary to run your account and keep your data in sync. We do not build advertising profiles or perform invasive device fingerprinting.
How we use information
We may use the information described above to:
- provide and operate Time4Driving;
- authenticate accounts and keep them secure;
- maintain learner profiles;
- record driving sessions and calculate driving progress;
- provide educational and quiz functionality;
- back up and synchronize your data;
- restore cloud-backed information when you sign in;
- generate driving-log exports;
- provide customer support and troubleshoot problems;
- maintain security and prevent abuse; and
- comply with applicable legal obligations.
We do not use your information for advertising or behavioral marketing.
Cloud synchronization and backup
When you are signed in to an account, supported information may be backed up and synchronized through Time4Driving's cloud infrastructure. This helps preserve your supported information across app sessions and can allow cloud-backed information to be restored after you sign in. We cannot guarantee that backup or synchronization will always succeed. If information is used only locally on your device rather than backed up to the cloud, it may not be recoverable if the app is removed or the device is lost.
Location permissions
Time4Driving requests location access to support driving-session tracking. If you enable a drive, the app uses your location to record that drive. Where the app is designed to keep recording an active drive while it is in the background or your device is locked, it may continue to use location for that active session. The app is not intended to track your location when no drive is active. You can change or revoke location permissions at any time in your device settings.
Photo and document permissions
If the app requests access to your photo library, it is so you can select supported driving-related photos or documents for features that require them. We do not access your photos for any other purpose, and this access is not used for sharing content socially.
Children and teen drivers
Time4Driving is designed around learner-driving use, and learner profiles may relate to drivers who are under 18. Supervising adults, parents, or guardians may create or manage learner profiles where that functionality is available, and information associated with those profiles may be processed to provide the app's features. Parents and guardians can contact us with any privacy questions or requests at privacy@time4driving.app.
Service providers
We use service providers to operate the service. Time4Driving's mobile application uses Supabase for authenticated backend and cloud functionality such as authentication, database and cloud storage, and supporting infrastructure. Service providers process information on our behalf to provide these functions and are not permitted to use your information for their own advertising.
Selling personal information
Time4Driving does not sell your personal information, and we do not share it for third-party targeted advertising.
Data security
We use reasonable technical and organizational measures intended to protect your information, including authenticated access and access controls. However, no method of electronic storage or transmission can be guaranteed to be completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Data retention
We retain information for as long as reasonably necessary to provide the service, maintain your account, meet legitimate operational and security needs, and satisfy applicable legal obligations. When information is no longer needed for these purposes, we take steps to delete or de-identify it.
Account deletion
You may request deletion of your Time4Driving account and associated personal information, subject to applicable legal and operational exceptions. To request deletion, contact us at privacy@time4driving.app. We will process your request in accordance with applicable law.
Your choices and controls
Depending on your device and how you use the app, you can:
- grant or revoke device location and photo-library permissions in your device settings;
- manage your profile and driving records within the app;
- delete individual driving records where the app supports it;
- request account deletion or other privacy requests by contacting us; and
- ask us to remove a waitlist email you submitted through this website.
Data export
Time4Driving supports exporting your driving log as a PDF, so you can save, print, or share your recorded supervised-driving information. This PDF export covers supported driving-log information and is not a complete machine-readable copy of every piece of account data.
Third-party links
Time4Driving may contain links to external websites or services that we do not operate. Those third parties have their own privacy practices, and we are not responsible for their policies. We encourage you to review the privacy policy of any third-party site you visit.
Changes to this privacy policy
We may update this policy as Time4Driving evolves. When we make material changes, we will update the “last updated” date at the top of this page.
